BETTY ANN BROWN AND EVA MONTEALEGRE CELEBRATE STRONG WOMEN ARTISTS AT THE MAKERY OPENING MARCH 3, 2024

LOS ANGELES, CA – January 2024 – The Makery announces its forthcoming exhibition, Fuerte! The exhibition will be on view opening 11-1pm, March 3, 2024 Betty Ann Brown will moderate an artist panel with selected artists and Eva Montealegre will do a curator’s walk through the exhibit. Fuerte! is on view through March 30, 2024. Open for the Downtown Artwalk March 7th, 6:30 – 9 pm.

Brown and Montealegre have gathered strong women artists who contribute significantly to the West Coast art scene. A curator's talk and an artist panel will be scheduled that will highlight the topics that concern this select group of multi-cultural artists as they approach their work and their contributions to the art world in their inimitable styles. An exhibition catalog featuring each artist in the exhibit and a scholarly reflection by Betty Ann Brown will also be available.
