Artist Bio: I have worked as a freelance photographer/photojournalist since 1974, creating images for major magazines, corporate publications, advertising, and websites. I am the originator and photographer of two books ("On Our Own Terms: Portraits of Women Business Leaders" and "On Being 100: 31 Centenarians Share Their Extraordinary Lives and Wisdom"). My career has gone from film to digital, from darkroom to desktop. Now I create images for my own enjoyment using digital or iPhone. I see photography as a universal language that can bring our world together.
Artist Statement: My work follows the path of traditional photojournalists. I agree with Edward Steichen's statement: "The mission of photography is to explain man to man and each man to himself."
