"Woman On The Beach, 2024" by Lisa Alton-Anderson
Woman On The Beach, 2024. Oil on canvas, 24” X 36” X 1.5”. $1100
A modern day Pacific Ocean goddess, she is bonded to the ocean, earth and sky.
Statement: I am an oil painter working in the city of San Diego, California. Originally my roots are in Hermosa Beach, Los Angeles County. My long established Californian family included many creatives through the generations, who inspire me to this day, and who I remember fondly as I work. As a child I loved to spend hours drawing, and so I chose my college degree based upon my passion. I graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a BA in Studio Art. While raising children and working to help support our family, I deviated from my youthful goals. Motherhood became my second passion, and brought great meaning to my life. Even so, the tide has now turned and I have remembered who the original "me" is.
